Inconel 945 Specifications

UNS N09945 | API 6A CRA | Superior Age-Hardenable Superalloy

Complete specifications for Inconel 945, a superior age-hardenable nickel superalloy designed for high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in sour gas environments.

Inconel 945 Overview

Material Description

Alloy 945 is a superior age-hardenable alloy designed to provide a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. It protects against chloride stress-corrosion cracking as well as outstanding general corrosion resistance to reducing chemicals and adds resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and oxidizing environments.

As Alloy 945 is resistant to sulfide stress corrosion cracking in H2S environments, it is suitable for downhole and surface sour gas well components. Applications include tubular products, valves, hangers, landing nipples, tool joints and packers. Alloy 945 is manufactured to API 6ACRA requirements and approved in NACE MR0175.

Key Benefits:

  • Superior age-hardenable strength
  • Excellent sulfide stress cracking resistance
  • Outstanding chloride stress corrosion resistance
  • NACE MR0175 approved for sour service
